MOUNT RUSHMORE

Our Mount Rushmore of Cereal Mascots

Alright, so if you follow us here on the blog or over on Instagram, you've probably noticed that we love a good Mount Rushmore. We've done a few of them already, and today we're tackling one of the most important topics in American history: our Mount Rushmore of cereal mascots.

After all, what's more American than a good old-fashioned sugary cereal? So, let's get right to it!

Tony the Tiger

First up, we have the one and only Tony the Tiger, originally voiced by the incredibly talented Thurl Ravenscroft. Tony is one of the greatest advertising mascots ever created. His iconic "They're Grrreat!" has been a breakfast staple for generations, and there was never any doubt he'd be leading off this list.

Cap'n Crunch

Coming in at the second spot is the ever-decorated Captain Horatio Magellan Crunch, commander of the S.S. Guppy. The Cap'n has brought us a great many cereals over the years, and my personal favorite has always been Peanut Butter Crunch. No matter which variety you choose, like any great captain, he always delivers.

Franken Berry

Next up, we had to include a member of the legendary Monster Cereals. Honestly, this entire Mount Rushmore could have been made up of this ragtag crew of supernatural breakfast icons, but we'll stick with just one. I'm going with the flat-headed wonder himself—Mr. Pink, Franken Berry. A delicious berry-flavored cereal loaded with marshmallows? How can you beat that?

Dig'em Frog

To round out the mountain, we have another American icon. The artist formerly known as the mascot for Sugar Smacks, it's Dig'em Frog from Honey Smacks. This was the cereal you could convince your mom was healthy because, hey, it says "Honey" right in the name!

And that'll do it for our Mount Rushmore of cereal mascots! Be sure to check out our Instagram post and let us know who we missed. Did your favorite make the cut?

Have a wonderful Fourth of July, stay safe, and enjoy a big bowl of your favorite cereal!
