Regal Cinemas has announced that throughout the month of September, they will be playing a different classic film every day. And just yesterday, they revealed that they’ll be continuing the trend in October, this time with an all-star lineup of classic horror movies.

September Lineup Highlights:

  • Psycho

  • Vertigo

  • Casablanca

  • Saving Private Ryan

October Horror Classics:

  • The Wolf Man

  • Dracula

  • Creature from the Black Lagoon

  • The Exorcist

  • Scream

  • Rosemary’s Baby

And here’s the best part: tickets in October are only $9 each!

I love this idea. Theaters should be doing more of this — bringing back classics at an affordable price. Going to the movies can be fun, but it’s also expensive, and honestly, more than half the movies I see on the big screen these days aren’t that great. I don’t go out to the theater too often anymore… but if this trend continues, you’ll probably start noticing more butter stains on my shirts.

Seeing these classics on the big screen is a completely different experience from watching them at home. The atmosphere, the sound, and the larger-than-life picture make the stories feel brand new — even if you’ve seen them a dozen times before. For younger audiences, it’s a chance to discover these films the way they were meant to be seen. And for longtime fans, it’s a rare opportunity to relive history.

This is more than just a fun gimmick — it’s a reminder that great films never truly go out of style.
