Final Battle of Round 2 – Epic DC Matchups!
We had a bit of a hiccup with our Marvel & Misc Round #2, so we’ll need everyone to vote on those matchups again. But worry not, True Believers—we’ve made it easy! All voting is now in this blog POST. Its all in the DC bracket today so just make sure to cast a vote for all 12 matchups
But first, let’s look at the results from Round #1 of DC:
Wrightson took down Murphy Anderson in the closest 1/16 matchup of the first round.
Nick Cardy & Jerry Robinson defeated Kubert & Don Newton in short order.
Frank Miller beat George Perez—but he was definitely sweating down the stretch.
Neal Adams had an easy win over Luis Dominguez.
Kaluta defeated Marshall Rogers.
Dick Sprang took down Jose Garcia-Lopez.
In the closest matchup of DC Round #1, Carmine Infantino barely edged out Jim Aparo to advance to the second round.
Round 2 Matchups:
The master of the macabre, Berni Wrightson, goes up against the man who made Aquaman cool, Nick Cardy.
A clash of true giants—two of Batman’s greatest artists: the man who helped create the Joker & Robin (Jerry Robinson) vs. the man who brought us The Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller).
Neal Adams faces Mike Kaluta in the 2/7 matchup.
And finally, another Batman great—Dick Sprang—takes on the longtime DC head honcho, Carmine Infantino.
