TerrifiCon 2025 Review: A Decade of Fun at Mohegan Sun
This year marked ten years of Terrific Con at Mohegan Sun, and the show has firmly cemented itself as one of the elite conventions in the Northeast. It’s always a blast, but 2025 felt especially electric—even without the star power of Keanu Reeves.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy in the room was buzzing. The floor was packed with comics and plenty of passionate collectors hunting for treasures. While there were slightly fewer dealers than in years past, there was still an impressive variety of books for every taste. Golden Age offerings were light, but there was no shortage of Silver, Bronze, Copper, and Modern gems to dig through.
More Than Just the Show Floor
What makes TerrifiCon special isn’t just what happens inside the hall—it’s the entire collector takeover of the casino once the show wraps each day. This year, it felt like everywhere you turned there were comic book friends and fellow dealers—sharing drinks, swapping stories, catching up, or making last-minute deals in restaurants, lounges, and lobbies.
The camaraderie was unmatched. It’s not something we’ve experienced at quite this scale before, and it made the weekend feel like one big reunion.
From Setup to Load-Out
From setup day to loading up the van, the vibe stayed positive and fun. Sales were solid, as they tend to be here—not necessarily a show that will blow you away numbers-wise, but it remains a can’t-miss stop for any serious collector or dealer.
Terrificon delivers every year because it’s not just about sales—it’s about connections, conversations, and the shared love of comics. And after a decade at Mohegan Sun, it’s safe to say that Terrificon has become a tradition worth keeping on the calendar.
