WAKE UP TO BURNE HOGARTH

Burne Hogarth is not the most well-known name when it comes to comics, but he should be. His unique yet classical style gave new energy to an already iconic character: Tarzan.

Hogarth was only 15 when he began working professionally, landing his first comic strip, Ivy Hemmanhaw. He would later relocate to New York as the Great Depression worsened, and 12 years after his first professional work, he was given his start on the Tarzan strip — a match made in heaven. When it comes to comics, he also did cover work for Sparkler Comics in the '40s, which featured more of his Tarzan artwork.
