March Madness Bracket Update
Starting back up tomorrow, we move into the next round of matchups for our Greatest Comic Artist of All Time bracket. Here’s how Round One shook out:
Jack Kirby beat Herb Trimpe in the kind of blowout you’d expect.
In an even bigger landslide, John Romita Jr. took down Barry Windsor-Smith.
The biggest upset of the round came when Gil Kane knocked out the always reliable Joe Maneely.
In the battle of the Jims, Jim Steranko defeated Jim Starlin.
John Buscema handled Billy Graham, and Steve Ditko took down his brother (and our pal) Sal Buscema.
The closest matchups of the round:
Mike Ploog narrowly edged out Gene Colan.
Dave Cockrum slipped past Walt Simonson.
