The 17-page feature story, “The Experiment That Backfired on Superman!”, is written by Cary Bates (pages 1–3, 17) and Denny O’Neil (pages 4–16), with pencils by Curt Swan, inks by Joe Rubinstein (pages 1–3, 16 panel 5, 17) and Murphy Anderson (pages 4–16), colors by Anthony Tollin, and letters by Milt Snapinn. The story features Superman (Clark Kent) dealing with the effects of an experimental ray while recalling an earlier incident that transformed Earth’s kryptonite into iron. Clark Kent is assigned to work full-time as a television reporter.
Additional contents include a one-page Aquaman Hostess Twinkies advertisement and two pages of “Superman in Action” letters columns with responses by E. Nelson Bridwell.
Condition F- (5.5) with moderate wear consistent with grade, structurally sound with complete interior pages. Unrestored.
