Key Bronze Age issue featuring the first appearance of the New Teen Titans in a preview story, as well as the first appearances of Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire. The main feature, “Between Friend and Foe!” (plot & pencils by Jim Starlin, script by Marv Wolfman, inks by Steve Mitchell), sees Superman and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) team up to defeat N’Gon, a villain stealing power from other super-beings.
The preview “Where Nightmares Begin!” (script by Marv Wolfman, art by George Pérez and Dick Giordano) introduces Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire as they recruit Dick Grayson into a new Teen Titans lineup, setting the stage for The New Teen Titans #1. Additional backup: “Whatever Happened to Sargon the Sorcerer?” (script by Bob Rozakis, art by José Delbo and Kim DeMulder), where Sargon stops the Matter Master from stealing the Ruby of Life. 48 pages, full color, 50¢.
