This is the first issue of Marvel’s 1972 Doc Savage series, published under the Marvel Comics Group banner. The issue was edited by Roy Thomas and printed by World Color Press, Sparta, Illinois. It carries the Comics Code Authority seal.

The cover, titled “Death — Eighty Stories High!”, was penciled and inked by John Buscema, with lettering by John Costanza and logo design by Gaspar Saladino.

The main feature, “Doc Savage, the Man of Bronze!”, runs 20 pages and adapts the 1933 pulp novel The Man of Bronze by Lester Dent. Script is credited to Steve Englehart, with plot credited to Roy Thomas. Interior pencils are by Ross Andru and inks by Jim Mooney. Letters are by John Costanza. The story features Clark Savage Jr. (Doc Savage) and members of the Fabulous Five: Monk (Andrew Blodgett Mayfair), Renny (John Renwick), Johnny (William Harper Littlejohn), Long Tom (Thomas J. Roberts), and Ham (Theodore Marley Brooks).

Condition is Very Fine+ (8.5), with light wear consistent with grade, strong corners, a solid spine, clean staples, and a complete interior.
