The lead feature, “The Origin of the Ghost Rider” (17 pages), introduces Carter Slade as the Ghost Rider, a costumed western hero who uses illusion and special effects to create the appearance of supernatural powers. The story was plotted by Gary Friedrich and Roy Thomas, with pencils by Dick Ayers and inks by Vince Colletta. Letters by John Verpoorten. Slade rides the horse Banshee and adopts the Ghost Rider identity to fight crime in the Old West.

Also included is a six-page reprint story, “The Menace of the Mask Maker!” starring Kid Colt, written by Stan Lee with art by Jack Keller. Additional content includes a Marvel house advertisement for Two-Gun Kid and a Bullpen Bulletins/Mighty Marvel Checklist page.

Condition VG- (3.5) with moderate wear consistent with grade, complete interior, structurally sound, and unrestored.
