The cover, titled “The War That Shook the Universe!”, features The Spectre and was penciled and inked by Murphy Anderson, with lettering by Ira Schnapp.

This issue marks the first Silver Age appearance and revival of The Spectre (Jim Corrigan) following the character’s Golden Age run in More Fun Comics.

The main feature, “War That Shook the Universe!” (23 pages), is written by Gardner Fox and illustrated by Murphy Anderson (pencils and inks), with lettering by Gaspar Saladino. The story reintroduces Jim Corrigan and the Spectre and features Azmodus, Stefan Miklos, Paul Nevers, and supporting characters. The story is presented in three parts.

Additional contents include a one-page public service announcement, “The Magic Card!” (script by Jack Schiff; art by Bernard Baily), a half-page “Little Pete” humor feature by Henry Boltinoff, and a one-page text article, “Origin of the Spectre,” written by Julius Schwartz with illustrations by Bernard Baily.

Condition is Very Fine- (7.5), with light wear consistent with grade, minor edge and spine wear, and a complete interior.
