This inaugural issue introduces Spyman, a secret agent who lost his hand disarming a radioactive bomb and had it replaced with a fantastic electro-robot hand containing multiple gadgets and weapons. The origin story “The Fantastic Electro-Robot Hand of Spyman” (20 pages) is written and illustrated by the Simon-Kirby team, establishing both Spyman and his civilian identity Johnny Chance while showcasing the various capabilities of his mechanical prosthetic.
