Superman #127 - F- 5.5

$168.00

DC Comics · Superman #127 · February 1959 · 10¢ · 32 pages

Grade: F- 5.5

First appearance of Titano the Super-Ape in “Titano the Super-Ape” — when test pilot Lois Lane's pet chimp Toto is exposed to a combination of uranium and kryptonite radiation during a space flight, he grows to gigantic proportions and develops kryptonite vision that can harm Superman. The Man of Steel must find a way to stop the rampaging ape without harming what was once an innocent animal, leading to one of the more memorable monster encounters of the Silver Age.

Titano would return multiple times throughout the Silver Age, becoming one of Superman's more distinctive giant monster adversaries in an era defined by such threats.

Condition F- 5.5 with moderate wear consistent with the grade, complete interior, structurally sound, and unrestored.

We use what the scientists are calling artificial intelligence to research and write our descriptions — it gives us more time to add books to our website and provide you with a wider array of inventory. We think Klaatu would approve. Details are verified but the robot does slip up. We're not infallible. Every book is graded by a human collector who has actually held it.
