The Amazing Spider-Man #15 — F+ (6.5)
The Amazing Spider-Man #15 — F+ (6.5)
August 1964 • Marvel Comics • First appearance of Kraven the Hunter • Ditko / Lee classic
The moment Spider-Man meets one of his greatest villains. This is Kraven’s first appearance — and it’s pure early-Marvel energy: pulp adventure, jungle madness, and Ditko at full tilt.
On the cover alone you can feel it — Kraven standing tall, Spidey in real danger. Inside is a full 22-page Lee & Ditko story where the Chameleon hires Kraven to hunt Spider-Man like wild game. It’s tight, weird, and totally of its era in the best way.
If you’re building an early Spidey run or grabbing first appearances with real teeth, this one belongs on your shelf.
Maj. Picto’s Grading Notes (F+ / 6.5)
Cover shows visible wear with moderate edge and corner stress, light creasing, and scattered surface scuffs. Spine has stress lines but remains intact. Colors still pop well for the grade, especially on the main figure areas. No major tears or tape observed.
Interior is complete with firmly attached pages. Moderate age toning present, but nothing brittle. A solid mid-grade copy of a true key issue with strong display appeal.
